Background
The Fife Advocacy Forum developed out of two Fife Council events in 2011 looking at reviewing Independent Advocacy services in Fife. The Review resulted in a new Fife Advocacy Strategy which launched in May 2014. The current Fife Advocacy Strategy is is in place from 2023 to 2026.
The Forum member organisations began to meet on a regular basis and in October 2012 formally agreed their Terms of Reference. There are currently 10 active member organisations and you can find information about the Advocacy they provide by following the links to the right.
The Forum is Chaired by Rachel Annand, Chief Executive of Dunfermline Advocacy who also provide administrative support for the Forum.
The Forum is supported by the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership with Fife Council providing financial support which is in place until March 2025.
