Circles Network Advocacy in Fife has recently received additional funding from the 2012-2015 NHS Fife Carers Strategy for a fourteen week carers advocacy pilot service. This includes one-to-one independent issued based advocacy. The service is free and confidential for carers over the age of 16 who are living in the Fife area and are looking after a family member, friend or neighbour who fall into our existing remit.
The aim of the pilot carers advocacy project is to:
- Ensure that individual carers have a voice and are listened to.
- Enable carers to feel equal and empower them to speak up for themselves.
- Represent carers expressed wishes and act under their instruction.
- Ensure that carers are able to make informed choices based on unbiased information.
